Coming 2025

  • Duration
    2 hours

Discover the history of Cork City “the fun way” at this comedy theatre experience.

Hysterical Histories School tour experience is a half day, high-octane, laugh-out-loud adventure that is unlike anything else, anywhere in the world, and it can be organised with love just for your class. Delivered by established professional Irish actors, the show itself celebrates all things Cork, upstairs at Amicus Restaurant in Cork’s historic Huguenot Quarter. Discover the highlights of Cork’s 1500-year history and become acquainted with its quirky characters while enjoying a tasty lunch, served up with live local music and plenty of personality.

Then it’s your turn. Take a behind the scenes look at how we put everything together to create our shows, ask questions, make a stage prop, learn one of our songs or even try acting out one of our hilarious scenes for your classmates. We promise you will leave having learned how to “speak Cork” and with a souvenir, if the teachers are well-behaved, we may even give them one too. (but that’s up to you)

Most suited for 2nd -5th class students. Please address all enquires via email to Angela hysetricalhistoriesireland@gmail.com

We hope to combine this experience with a visit to our neighbours at the Crawford Art Gallery once they reopen post renovation making it a full day experience for students.
